An Open Letter to Millennials Like Talia…
Stefanie Williams

Figuring things out instead of throwing up your hands is the way to get ahead in life. I’ll soon be turning the big 6–0, and the things you say about working hard, making good choices, and being responsible for the decisions you make are no secret to success. It was the same advice that I (and others of my generations) got from our parents, who got the same advice from their parents. There may be reasons why things don’t go your way, but you regroup and take a look at what caused those reasons. You can (and do) make mistakes in life, but you should learn from them and not make them again. The general whining from certain people is usually the result of taking the reasons for something not working out and accepting them as excuses for not trying harder.
