Retro Film Favorites: Can’t Hardly Wait (1998-Columbia Pictures)

Wow, just rewatched this one last night and it’s still a very fun watch. It’s now 25 years since it was first released and it was great to see this packed cast, many being seen here for the very first time. You’ll literally be pointing at your screen while trying to figure out where you’ve seen that actor.

The film stars Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ethan Embry, Seth Green, Lauren Ambrose, Peter Facinelli and Charlie Korsmo.

It’s set on high school graduation night and follows a handful of house party guests as they navigate their last night before heading towards their uncertain futures.

Selma Blair auditioned for the lead part that went eventually to Lauren Ambrose, but was still given a small part in the film and would hit it big the next year in Cruel Intentions.
