GMX is Germany’s best and newest email service, web portal, and cloud established in 1997. This is the portal of the most popular and best email service provider. The headquarters of this portal are in Montabaur and its branch in Karlsruhe. Now, this is turning into a subsidiary of the United Internet Group.

This is also called an abbreviation for GMX. GMX stands for “Global Message Exchange”. But this is the old term for this and is no longer used in today’s life.

These are the first German online portals to offer free mail service. GMX login details and more on that will be discussed here. This work began in German in April 1998 and was founded by four people.

First and foremost the service that this provides is a commercial mailbox. People use this as a mailbox and send emails to each other. In 1999, this service achieved the goal of 1 million registered and user accounts. At present, approximately 16 million accounts are registered on this email service. This is the best free mail service in Germany.

In 2002, this provided a special offer to use the personal domain for the incoming email service. GMX first appeared as an internet provider and provided users with dial-up and DSL definitions. Collaboration with Deutsche Telecom has been expanded to increase and achieve further growth in full business with DSL connections.

In 2007 this company developed a special program called GMM MultiMessenger compatible with instant messaging service. In 2008 the company increased its services and established an office in Switzerland and in 2009 it collaborated with web.de and this together was a pilot project to introduce the DE-Mail service.

In 2015, it provided good privacy for email users. They offer free sending and reading messages. Users can send email encryption in the browser and GMX application. This privacy service makes it so good that only the sender and recipient can read each other’s emails or messages.

In November 2017, GMX introduced an encryption function. This is called “GMX Tresor” for cloud storage “GMX MediaCenter.”

How to create a free GMX email account

Creating a new GMX email account is simple. You will need access to a web browser, preferably you have another email account with a different provider in order to receive a password reset instructions if you forget your login details to your GMX account.

• You will not need a mobile phone to register for GMX.
• To get started, go to the GMX homepage at https://www.gmx.com/.
• In the top right of the home page, click the Sign Up button.
• Now you will need to provide some personal details and choose your new GMX email address.
• Type your first name and last name.
• Then select your gender, date of birth and country from the drop-down lists. If you are in the United States, you will also be asked to choose your country.
• Now you need to choose your desired email address.
• Type the first part of the title you want. This is your username effectively and can be anything, for example, your name, your nickname. If you will be using your new email address for general purposes, including using the business, choose an appropriate address that will not embarrass you, offend you, or make you look unprofessional. In most cases your name works better, or your first name and last name are separated by a period (dot), for example, john.smith@gmx.com. You can choose the @ gmx.com or @ gmx.us mail domain from the drop-down menu, and @ gmx.com is selected by default and is OK for most purposes.
• Click the arrow icon next to the email username and domain boxes. This verifies that the email address you chose is not available and has not been identified by another user. GMX has many members, sometimes email addresses with the most popular names are already taken and you should choose an alternative. If the address you have chosen is not available, potential alternatives are suggested and if one of them is appropriate, go to it and select it. If not, you can try writing your differences in the email inbox until you find a free address.
• Then choose a password and type it, then type it again as confirmation. It is necessary to define a strong password that cannot be easily guessed or hacked. You will see a list of password requirements displayed once you start typing in your password. The password must be at least 8 characters long, and a combination of lowercase and uppercase letters and numbers and contain at least one symbol, or a special character. • Optionally, you can provide the contact email address, if you already have another account with a different provider. It’s good to introduce this because GMX will use it to send you password reset instructions and instructions in case you forget your login details.
• If you do not provide an alternate email address, you will need to provide an answer to your security question to verify your identity if you need to recover your account details. Go ahead and select a security question from the drop-down list, then type the answer to that question.
• Next, you might see a request to check the box to show that you are a real person and not a robot. Go ahead and check this captcha box.
• Finally, read the terms and conditions if you wish, then click the “I agree, create my account” button.

GMX Login — How to access your inbox

Once you have a new account, logging into your GMX inbox becomes very fast and easy.

• To get started, go to the GMX homepage at https://www.gmx.com/.
• In the top right of the homepage, click the Sign in button.

• This will take you directly to your inbox.

How to create and use a GMX mail collector

GMX Mail Collector is a great way to manage all of your email accounts from one location. Connecting your other email accounts to your GMX account is simple.

• Log in to your GMX mailbox.
• In the main menu to the left of the screen, click the Settings option.
• Now click on the Mail Collector option.
• You will see a short form allowing you to add your additional email addresses.

• For each address you want to add, type your email address and password.
• Next, you can choose how the mail collector interacts with external email accounts.
• If you want to transfer the email to your GMX account and delete the original email message from the incoming mail on the other account, be sure to check the box labeled “Delete emails from the third-party server after fetching”.
• If you want to keep the email you transfer from other accounts in separate folders, instead of collecting all of your emails from all accounts combined in the primary mailbox, make sure the box labeled “Sort emails into a separate folder” is checked.
• When replying to the email that was copied from another email address to your GMX account, if you want to send a response and make it appear as if the reply was sent by the original address, check the box labeled “When replying or forwarding email mail messages, use” The address to which email messages have been sent as the return address. “
• Now click on the Save button to link this email address to your GMX account. GMX Mail Collector will now begin copying your messages from the linked account to a GMX mailbox, in a separate folder if you select this option. It may take some time to complete this process, if there are a lot of messages to copy.
• Repeat the process to add more of your email addresses.
• When finished, you can now use your GMX account to verify all your email in one place.

Reset password or account cannot be accessed.

Reset password or can’t access account problems some people face. If you forget your password, you can reset it and access your account again. Here I tell you to step by step to reset your password. First of all, open the mail or the official GMX app. Click the login button. When you click on it, click the button you cannot access the account. Now, this type of page appears in the front and click on the option to forget your password.
