LtCol Armando Gonzalez Has Served in the Military for Twenty-Eight Years

LtCol Armando Gonzalez is a proficient military officer having over 28 years of experience under his belt. He is skilled in a wide range of functions including supply, transportation, financial management, maintenance, procurement, and logistics information systems. He has served as a commanding officer of Marine Wing Support Squadron 371 in Yuma, AZ, from 06/14–04/2016. He led a large, multi-function logistics support unit providing wide services to support domestic and foreign area operating forces. He served as a Europe region desk officer at headquarters US Marine Corps, Washington DC, where he helped develop and coordinate Marine Corps service level policy and strategic communication while coordinating the visits by service level foreign dignitaries.
 
As a USMC Representative to Colombia, LtCol Armando Gonzalez was the principal advisor to the Colombian Navy and Marine Corps service chiefs. He developed, implemented, and managed a $15 million dollar budget to train the Colombian Marine Corps Forces. Prior to this, he served as the operations officer at Marine Wing Support Squadron 373, San Diego, CA. As an Assistant Logistics Officer at Expeditionary Strike Group 3, San Diego, CA, he served in the Iraq theatre to expedite personnel flow, and facilitate logistical support for operations and exercises.

Throughout his military service, LtCol Armando Gonzalez has been recognized on several occasions for his outstanding performance, most recently, he was awarded the Colombian Marines Service Medal for support to Columbian Marine Forces. Previous awards include the Meritorious Service Medal for service as Operations and Executive Officer, the US Defense Meritorious Service Medal for service as USMC Rep to Colombia, and lastly, the Admiral Stanley R. Arthur Award for Logistics Excellence for the evacuation of U.S. Citizens from Lebanon through Cyprus.

LtCol Armando Gonzalez holds a Master of Science degree in Global Leadership from the University of San Diego, San Diego, CA. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Chapman University, Orange, CA.
