A Time to Kill iTunes
M.G. Siegler

To be fair though, the iOS music app is far from perfect, either. Creating and curating playlists still feels complicated to me. The last time that was easy and straightforward was in the old iTunes with the central sidebar. Also, I desperately want a quick and easy way to identify which songs I’ve bought and which I’m merely renting! Both on the Mac and on iOS I can only see which songs are in my library, and which are downloaded. I have to look into the info panel of each song on the Mac to see whether I actually own that. How ridiculous is that?

When Apple launched Apple Music I thought, finally, Apple is taking music serious again! But now it feels more like when they added a video camera to the iPod Nano and declared on stage, that they just wanted to be in that market.
