In late 2019, Bernie will pick a stadium, in CA or NY, or maybe the mall in Washington. His supporters will come from around the country. He will have 100,000–200,000 people in the streets and in the stands. After Nina Turner introduces him, he will walk through the crowds and slowly approach the stage. The website for donations will go live and on the screen behind Bernie as he talks we will see how we will all keep trying as the server crashes to make donations. He’ll start his speech. The crowd will chant. The fundraising total will exceed 50 million, all in donations to the campaign under 2700 as per the law, before the speech is over.
Then the volunteers will flood into Iowa. No matter who the corporate wing throws up there — and they better only pick one — Bernie will get 65%. The New Hampshire. Bernie might get 85%. The he’ll actually win South Carolina against any candidate, Black, White, Asian or Hispanic. And Nevada. And it’ll be over. If Trump runs for re-election, or if the Republicans throw up someone else, it won’t matter.
There is no way for you cry babies to stop us. Of course, your deep state assholes may shoot Bernie, but then we’ll run Tulsi or Nina.
The stuff you write is simply not true. Your “point one”: if you take Wall Street money you’re not a progressive. He’s right. Yes, that excludes most democrats and Obama. That’s what he means. If also said Obama was progressive that’s because he’s a saavy politician and people still like Obama. Is it a little hypocritical? Maybe. But he can’t tell people like you the truth: Obama was a sell out. He knows Obama is a sell out but doesn’t want to get into that argument. This “point one” why Bernie sucks is actually why Bernie is great and all the Democrats suck.
Point two, superpacs, is so stupid… of course he is for clean elections and getting money out of politics. He does not have a superpac, not like HRC with flagrant disregard for the law. He did not coordinate illegally nor did he support a superpac. If he once met anyone from a pac or never shared a stage with someone… oh, you know you’re full of it. You know that you’re making up a non issue. Who is more staunchy in favor of clean elections? Who has ever run a campaign like he did?
Point three: Negative campaign? Oh come off it. He never did a negative add in his life. He could have been a lot more negative. He should have been. This isn’t really a criticism. Again, you think you’re dissing Bernie but I hope he runs more negatively than he has in the past, at least against the feckless and incompentent and corrupt DNC.
Point four: I think the government of the US is a sham. We need a revolution, in terms of the word, turning over, revolving, serious change. There is nothing Bernie can do that would be too much to pursue the goal of real change. The only possible criticism is that he did not do enough to show how useless and disgusting our fake democracy is, with two meaningless useless parties controlled by the same oligarchs. So, you can’t claim he was too aggressive in his goals for my taste. The more aggressive the better. Revolution is long overdue in this ridiculous travesty of a fake democracy.
Four five: the 2016 race for the Democratic nomination was a fiasco. That’s not Bernie’s fault. The DNC cheated. Votes were manipulated. The media enviroment was entirely constructed by the oligarchs and their puppets at the DNC to shut out the voice of the people. There is nothing Bernie could do in this environment that would be too aggressive, too strong, too bold. Only too weak. It’s a crime, literally, what Obama let happen under his watch, and we have a 1000 seat loss for the Democrats to show how terrible his party leadership was. The Democratic party is dead. Only Bernie can save it. Democrats are crooked losers and everyone knows it. Pelosi and Schumer are rich white people from NYC and SF. No one likes them.
I’ll leave the rest of your nonsense here. Your article was such garbage…
