Memorial Day

What exactly is Memorial Day? As a kid, I see Memorial Day as a no school day and I truly do not care for what it is. As long as I don’t have school, I’m happy. However, I decided that I want to educate myseld of what Memorial Day is. Since 1971, Memorial Day has been recognized as the last Monday of May. Originally, this day was used to remember the soldiers to died during the civil war. Now this day is dedicated to all fellow soldiers who fought and died and for United States. In the U.S. Memormial Day is the starting day of Summer.
