The Independent Liberal Party (ILP)

The Independent Liberal Party (ILP) was founded on the principle of quality representation, action and performance for and on behalf of the people of Trinidad and Tobago. After 51 years of post-colonial politics, our people are still without the basic amenities, our communities are still prone to disaster, the threats to our way of life have become too vast and varied, and as a nation, our society is fragmented, no longer safe and secure and threatened from within. The ILP was formed to bring relief to a society that seems perched on the borders of social decay, to bring hope to our children who now stand on the brink of despair, to offer respite to a weary and disenchanted population and provide comfort to the next generation. The ILP promotes the concept of people caring for each other.
