Somebody really needs to do the Kickstarter special edition treatment for the Unigrid system Vignelli designed for the National Park Service in the 70s. Alongside the MTA signage system, it’s a fascinating example of the durability of adaptive systems – it’s basically a responsive grid system for print. There isn’t much information about it online, but all the original documentation and sketches and speculative designs are in the Vignelli archives in Rochester.
