Fortune favors the brave
Hi! How are you? How was your October?
At the beginning of new month — November, it’s time to sum up October!
October was more productive than September! I almost completed all my goals on that month. Why almost? ’cause some of them are a bit generic and they extend beyond October, but other targets was clear to deal with:)
My motto was “Fortune favors the brave”. I joined the diplomatic club “Tribune” in LUNN and at the end of that month I joined the diplomatic club “Can” in Lobachevsky University. It’s so interesting to delve into and discuss the political situation! But sometimes it was so hard and difficult! Especially when I took part in debates! It was very nice experiences!
The topic of my first debate was “Brexit: is it a political game or a natural regularity?”. I took part in it with my dear Anastasia Tsapaeva ❤ We were in the same team, and, unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to prepare our speeches very well, but still we were on the top as usual! BTW, In our dream team was Ivan, he started interested in politics when he was just born, so, it goes without saying, he’s good at it C:
My second debate was about our folk tale about Kolobok! Despite the funny side of the debate title, It was difficult to think arguments up and represent them in serious way! Anyway, I coped with it and did it very well!
Btw, my next debate will be on Wednesday (06.11.19). The topic is “Moratorium on the death penalty: should we leave it or can we refuse?”. So, Wishing me luck!
Now, it’s time to think about November! ACTUALLY, You should know that I really hate discussing my plans (especially targets!). (I’m not superstitious and I’m not afraid to jinx!) I try to explain why I did not tell any one about my future goals:
There is an interesting note that scientists have made a startling discovery. When a person “plays“ a melody in his head, despite the fact that he is in complete silence, the encephalograph (a device that reads brain activity) shows the activity of the brain zones responsible for real listening to music.
That is, the brain does not see the difference, a person boasts already completed business or business that is not yet completed. He perceives it as if the goal has already been achieved. And why bother to do something (what you planned to do) if it is already “ready”?
But there is a big difference between visualizing the ultimate goal and publicly stating your intentions. In the first case, you program the mind and subconscious to perform the task and give a clear picture of the destination. In the second, you share with your friends already accomplished fact-this is how our brain perceives it.
Sum it up:
1. Remain unpredictable for others until you finish the job. If you break this rule, you will no longer want to move toward the goal, as you have revealed your cards and become predictable. Bringing the case to the end will not surprise anyone.
2. The brain does not feel the difference whether you share your real achievements or your plans for the future. When you talk about the ultimate goal, the brain automatically puts a checkmark next to “goal achieved”. Proven by scientists, tested by electronics.
-> so, keep silence about your goals, but share your achievements!
One of my goals for November is to actively prepare for a visit to the Austrian Embassy! That’s all I can share with you ’cause this event is well known to my group mates!
Anyway, I set goals for every month and take top priorities for the week and day!
If you have any questions, Feel free to ask it in the comments!
And remember: “Fortune favors the brave” c;
