Nizhny Novgorod kremlin

As a resident of Nizhny Novgorod, I would like to share my opinion about one of the iconic places of our city — the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin.

To begin with, this is an ancient fortress that was built in the XIV century, and since then it has become an integral part of the history of the city. Now it is one of the most visited places in the city, where you can not only learn a lot of interesting things about the history of Nizhny Novgorod, but also just spend time with family or friends.

Firstly, the beauty of the Kremlin’s architecture strikes the eye. Inside the Kremlin there are several real architectural masterpieces — buildings of different times and different styles. Here you can see a high bell tower, a stunning monument to Dmitry Pozharsky and Minin, a monument to St. George, a cathedral, etc.

In addition, on the fortress you can walk along the brick walls, which are perfectly preserved to this day, and enjoy a stunning view of the Volga and the city territory. I also suggest visiting the museum located in the fortress, where you can learn more about the history of the city and get interesting information about this grandiose structure.
