For anyone who knows up-and-coming California producers well, the wines of Arnot-Roberts need no introduction. With a signature label that is recognizable immediately when you see it, this is a name that is a must-know if you do not already.
Duncan Arnot-Meyers and Nathan Lee Roberts give the name to this producer that sources fruit out of Mendocino and the Santa Cruz Mountains. A passion for developing forgotten terroir is at the cornerstone of what this dynamic duo of winemaking seek to do with site specific wines that before beared no identity. To add however, Arnot-Roberts sources fruit from historic sites, including Cabernet Sauvignon from Montecillo in Sonoma Mountain and Pinot from Martin Ray in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Today’s featured wine is their rose, which only has a one thousand case production made from Touriga Nacional and Tinto Cao. These grapes originally find their home in the vineyards of Portuguese port houses, yet come together in this effort to make a brilliant and super lively rose wine. We hope that you get a chance to enjoy as we welcome the spring season!
