I went to IPEX Lahore which was organized my PPA at Expo Center Lahore.
I was kind of afraid of meeting big companies and dropping my resume in person. After some wandering here and there I went to Ample Trade Impex which basically a big brand dealing in poultry keeping machinery and equipment. Meeting a person opens up many opportunities specially in an Expo. “Meetings at work present great opportunities to showcase your talent. Do not let them go to waste.”

It was a good experience meeting Habib ur Rehman, the CEO of Ample Trade Impex.
I learnt a lot from this meeting. I learnt that one should be genuine and not fake because a seasoned recruiter would know that and this applied on my friend who was faking there and was caught and embarrassed badly. I learnt that always greet them warmly and show respect to them. Listen them first and then calmly put your answer. “Sometimes we have to meet people where they are, Ollie. Honor their desires, regardless of out own.”

“Stop wearing that mask that is trying to be a match for everybody, and realize that you have to have more of a 1s and 10s model. A 1s and 10s model means that if you want to be a 10 for somebody you have to risk being a 1 for somebody else. […] You wanna express who you really are.”
― Steve Pavlina
The challenges included that I was not much aware of their company because of no research more over I had traveled a long journey and was not fresh at the time of meeting and most of all there wee too many students for the same purpose as i had gone.
I overcame these issues by meeting Habib sb warmly and introducing myself with an elevator pitch of 1 minute. After that I gave my resume and we had a communication of more than 30 minutes after that. He told me when I finish up my degree he will be happy to recruit me.

“There’s always a good lesson in meeting new people, its enlarging your circle of friends. And though there are times you don’t match with their likes, there are some whom you just blend well.”
