Why I owned a Macbook Pro for a day — and what it says to me about the future of Apple

Although I’ve owned iPhones and iPads, I just cannot bring myself to endure a situation like yours.

My perception — my fear, actually—is that Apple’s computers are poorly manufactured products with very short warranty periods. Why would I overpay for an underpowered computer with outdated software features… and then have it break, then overpay again for factory service on their proprietary components?

Purchasing an Apple computer is a expensive risk I’m unwilling take.
