The Master Jesus & The Consciousness of Ascension

The concept of divine one-ness has always made spiritual sense to me; yet I consistently fought it. Perhaps I fought it due to fear of thinking “out of step” with orthodoxy. Perhaps it was a fear of finding favor in another tradition; yet as we grow older, the fears that once held our spiritual development back, no longer pull with as tight of a grip.

One-ness.

Perhaps in no other scripture of the New Testament is the concept of divine one-ness expressed better than John 17. The law of unity or divine one-ness is the central theme of the chapter; with implications seemingly ignored by Christian sects interested in making theological beliefs the make or break to eternal life.

One of the most interesting parts of this prayer is that Jesus refers to himself in first person, and third person. The Master switches to and from easily; as if he has somehow disconnected from the human person “Yeshua” to the ascended Christ.

“These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”

John 17:1–3

Jesus himself is asking God to “glorify thy son” in the third person, tied with a plea that “they” might know God and (himself) Jesus Christ, whom God sent. It reads as if John was making this martyr’s prayer witnessing Jesus Christ. Yet instead it is a prayer by Jesus directly, referencing himself in third person. This is notable. The question is why?

Divine consciousness became Christ Consciousness. The Master was able to separate the self from himself. He was able to pray to Adonai as a part of the divine unity, as a part of the collective human consciousness or human spirit that needed this act of atonement to occur. For a moment, Yeshua stepped away from Jesus, so Jesus could become the Christ.

This act of separating self from being is the necessity to embrace the fullness of the law of unity of divine one-ness.

“I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.”

John 17:9–10

As the Master continues, he acknowledges the mutual claim over his people, with Adonai. Jesus says he is glorified in them, and pleads for them to be one as he is one with Adonai. Beautiful! Clear! Uniting! Our Lord and Master, in the hours before his torture and execution; declares that his followers are together in the same unity he is with the Father of the World. Again, this law is one-ness. It is unity, and controversially it means we are all God. God or divinity is shared through all those who awaken to it. God, meaning the being from the foremost of human creation has an essence, or spirit that actually goes through all people and is shared by all people. This sharing is what we call consciousness. The awareness of this divine unity, this separation of self from being is what Peter declares as the “partaking of the divine nature” (2 Peter).

However, there is more to this than sole recognition of unity, The Master hints that this recognition takes us out of the world. Or that it raises us out of this world. It allows us to step out of the programmed society, to step out of the matrix of worldliness. It raises our knowledge, awareness, and consciousness to a higher manifold.

“I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.”

John 17:15–16

In fact, The Master does not seek death or separation from humanity for his followers. He doesn’t seek physical separation, he seeks protection for them. Protection from the matrix of worldliness. Protection from those who seek power, that would rather humanity not have any awakening to their divine potential. He also doesn’t declare one-ness as a future spectacle. They are according to Christ, then and there; above the world. They are no longer products of the kingdom’s of the world. For they are one with him, and he is one with Adonia, thus his disciples are also one with Adonai. This collective divinity is again, Christ Consciousness.

Else why would Jesus continue to proclaim the following in verse 21 and 22?

“That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one.”

At that very moment The Master declares that his disciples share the same glory as GOD THE FATHER. Does he mean they are sitting upon a golden throne holding a scepter, beckoning various cherubim to pour them wine? No. Does he mean they are demanding the prays and bows of thousands, as servants of Heaven perform hymn arrangements on a harp? No!

The Master means that they are now awakened to the same consciousness that lead to Adonai becoming the Divine Creator. It means that they share in the collective testimony, purpose, love, and goal of humankind that only Holy Angels, Masters, and Gods partake in. Such a recognition of this divinity is illustrated beautifully in John the Beloved’s apocalyptic revelatory visions.

“To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”

Revelation 3:21

The Master’s intercessory prayer demonstrates that even in his most anxious hours, the presence of divine consciousness was radiating through him, to us. Yet, everything Jesus Christ says seems to invoke this understanding.

Because we are all one, I cannot harm another without harming myself. As “those who live by the sword, die by the sword” illustrated. This karmic teaching of human action tells us what goes around comes around, because WE ARE the AROUND.

“And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”

Matthew 25:40

This is not a scriptural nicety, it is a declaration of the consequences of harm or love toward another. Because we are all one, I cannot hate another without hating Jesus. I cannot forsake a friend without forsaking Jesus. I cannot betray another without betraying Jesus. The Master Jesus is the light that killed the ego, and if we partake in the ego — we join the mob that murdered him. When he told Adonai that his disciples are one with him, he meant it.

Can one truly walk the path of enlightenment and divinity while seeking destruction toward others? No, because destruction comes from the ego — the self that must be detached from. It comes from the darkness, the opposite of Christ Consciousness. All that we do to others, we do to the Lord, and we do to ourselves. This is a law of reality that cannot be escaped. Some wince and fear this truth, yet through our Master and Lord Jesus Christ we can embrace this truth to ascension.

Divine consciousness or Christ Consciousness is the gospel. The good news wasn’t the blood sacrifice of Yeshua. The good news is that blood sacrifice didn’t win.

Christ Consciousness means anointed consciousness. Anointed means “set apart.”

To pursue Christ consciousness is truly to set apart your mind, thoughts, emotions, and spiritual senses from the darkness, traditions, manipulations, and false dichotomies of the world.

The world tells us to worship Jesus by praising him with our words, and understanding him through the traditions and hierarchies of man. The world tells us that we cannot have eternal joy without submitting to the mental or spiritual confines of human rulers.

Gospel translates to “Good News.”

The Ministry of Yeshua took place in an authoritarian culture and government. It spiritually deified the mindset of “might makes right” and thus the Pagan Gods of Rome were the crown jewels of man made hierarchies. Have we repeated the same thing today? Have we placed our spiritual trust in the hands of learned or elect people we don’t know, never knew, and never will know? Do we filter the possibilities of spiritual truth through the hands, minds, and lectures of scholars and academics; following the provisions of a council? Or do we go straight to the source? Do we connect our spirit to that which is above?

Rome may have fallen, but the Romans still govern us. These Romans are interested in what we say, what we do, and who we publicly praise.

Yet, The Master Jesus is interested in who we become. He does it through Christ Consciousness.

Christ Consciousness tells us to think like Jesus, talk like Jesus, and act like Jesus, so we may be one with him, and thus our very BEING is set apart or anointed. This truly is the key to understanding ascension — it is the gospel message. We have God in us, and we can live in eternal glory for eternity. We can be Saviors on Mount Zion.

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God.”

Philippians 2:5–6
