People against the idea of UBI (probably not from the accounting world) usually argue that it is too expensive to maintain, thinking that the cost would be the number of people receiving basic income multiplied by the amount received.
This article surely helps people like me — pro UBI but not from the accounting world either — to have yet another good point to make while discussing the subject with someone.
