Pre-Flight Safety Demonstrations
If you’ve flown before you know all about those pre-flight safety demonstrations…that you try to ignore.
You might keep your music bumping and look at the flight attendant with a smile pretending to pay attention. You might use that time to fire off a few more texts and emails, blatantly not paying attention. Orrrr you might be like me and your fear of flying kicks in and you actually do listen intently to the pre-flight safety demonstrations because you think it gives you a leg up on your fellow passengers in case of an emergency… 🤷♂ 🤷♂ 🤷♂

In any scenario, we can all agree that those demonstrations are BORING…for the most part. There’s been a swing in the last few years with airlines pushing the creative on how they present their safety demonstrations to us. From singing/dancing, to mythical journeys, to celebrity filled productions, they’re trying to find ways to catch our attention and still get the necessary pre-flight safety information in.
I put together some of my favorites below for this week’s “easy on the brain”. The first one from British Airways is amazing, check it out. Until next week!
British Airways
This is too good. I know it’s super long, but definitely worth a watch. Tons of familiar British actors and actresses in here. The main goal for this is to help raise funds for the airline’s global charity partnership with Comic Relief, which I’m sure you won’t miss.
Virgin America
This is snazzy. I’m feeling the whole number. Seems pretty appropriate for the Virgin brand.
Air New Zealand — Part I
These guys have been pumping out some hilarious safety videos over the last few years. Here’s 2 coming up for you. This one plays off the New Zealand/Middle-Earth/Hobbit connection to give you “the most epic safety video ever made”. This actually coincided with the theatrical release of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
Air New Zealand — Part II
I have a confession, I have a huge crush on Anna Faris that may have influenced me to post this. But crushes aside, this is a great mix of silly with New Zealand actor Rhys Darby and Anna (her and I are on a first name basis).
Pegasus Airlines
Pegasus implements the Avengers into this safety demonstration video. Team Marvel 4L.
Drop a ❤️ if you enjoyed the read. Much appreciated!
