The LukeW AR Social Experiment

One of my favorite UX Twitter follows has been Luke Wroblewski (@lukew) and he’s been doing this awesome series on if augmented reality would be worth the pain of say…wearing a headset every day. And say…maintaining that head set. Luke is testing out Scott Jenson’s value > pain theorem. He talks about the thought process behind the series and his first 10 posts here:

I picked out a few of my favorites below. You can find them all on his twitter feed too. Enjoy!

Measurements on the go

How many times have we tried to eye if a piece of furniture is just the perfect size for that empty space back home? You might be able to eye it pretty accurately some day.

Price Checks

Gas price checks on the go…clutch.

Currency Conversion

As someone trying to step up their travel game, I’m all about this one. Combine it with translating words too and it’s golden.

Product Reviews

Yes, please.

Comparing Products

Nifty, super nifty. As someone who knows absolutely nothing about wine, this would cut my wine shopping time in half. No more endless Google searches for reviews…yes I do that…

Drop a ❤️ if you enjoyed the read. Much appreciated!
