I’ve had some success throwing my brain down as bulleted outlines for a topic at the point in time when it is freshest in my mind. I sort of mine these raw materials multiple times a week (often to help me process the topics). Over time I revisit and fill in the outlines with colorful memories that are easy to remember given the clarity of the outline.
You’re like halfway there with your bullets above, and I bet you’d be able to fill them out with some sub-bullets at any moment of inspiration (without being tormented by the task of actually writing).
So at this point I have a little trove of mined raw materials that I can refine and post when I make the time a priority. (My blog will be GREAT someday, I swear!) Obviously there are some trade-offs, and it’s easy to procrastinate the final refinement step, but I’d rather have my outlines and bullets than foggy memories and “should haves” any day.
