Steven, I think that the problem here is that the solution that Apple chose to implement is not perfect in any way, which contradicts the part of article praising their attention to the smallest details. In the main article there is a scene where the Apple team decided that the mouse doesn’t click right. As a user, I would much rather have a mouse with less than perfect clicking sound, but the one where charging is not disallowing me from actually using a device. I can’t think of a device right now which is useless when being charged, and this is what is happening with the new Apple mouse. Not to mention that the whole charging process looks ridiculous considering the location of the charging port.
