It’s the “Tabletop Gaming Has a White Male Terrorism Problem” piece that came to public notice in early April 2016
For Good Men To See Nothing
Ken Burnside

I knew it wasn’t the best in tabletop. I know the stereotype of the creepy underground comic store that has never seen a woman. I’ve seen it on Big Bang Theory and eye rolled. I’ve seen it in real life. But I had no idea it was THAT bad. I may not be a white dude but I am A dude and I’m into board games and one of the things I love about it is how much less toxic it’s been than video games.

Nothing’s perfect and I’ve seen racism and sexism in board gaming community mostly online. One time :( it was me, when I was nervous and didn’t realize everyone was waiting for me to stop. But most of the fights we have are about the games themselves rather than the people. I’m saddened to hear that even in this new hobby I’ve been a recent champion of for a few years now it’s still not always the cool place I thought it was.
