This week do an Hour of Code with your kids

I did Hour of Coding yesterday helping first graders. I have done this for three years now and am so amazed at their abilities! They have trouble reading “Dick and Jane”, but handle screen instructions, assembling code segments, repeat loops, and angles relative to their orientation! They appreciate being noticed for their successes. I’ve noticed no differences between genders or races at this stage. I think we enforce the differences as they grow up and have them forced upon them.
