Alex Amari … As you are a self-stated student of Philosophy, Politics, & (wierdly) Economics, you have obviously slept through several classes during your Micro and Macro lessons.
Universal Base Income has been implemented since roughly WW2. It is called the Tax Credits (https://www.irs.gov/credits-deduction). It effectively allows you to ALWAYS take the Credit against your taxes, without regards to your tax table obligations.
You need to focus your energy on repealing Federal Income Taxes and focus on a Fair Tax (Sales Tax). Since you obviously missed a few lessons in Macro; Sales Tax is based on Consumption, Income Tax is based on Production. The US society is not longer a Production society and are a Consumption society. Therefore our tax codes need to adjust to account for the swing in energy expenditure.
UBI only benefits the politicians and the government that enacts it. It is not a benefit to the people of that country. It provides the government with a Universal Base Tax Income that they can reliably expect in any given year. UBI also effects the cost of goods sold at Walmart, Target, Macy’s, Gas, Milk, etc. It will increase the price of each of these products, and more. Again, Economics states that the Price of goods in a market will be equivalent to the volume of cash available in that market. Effectively, the Supply of Cash has a direct correlation to the Price of Goods. More cash available, Higher Prices; Less cash available, Lower Prices. This is all discounting competition, as the average product price is effected, not the individual brand price.
