Newly Released 911 Transcripts: Two from Bystanders and One for a Dispatcher
Audio recording and written transcripts of the following information have been released as of Monday, June 15, 2020.
Call from a police dispatcher to a supervisor
911 Dispatcher: “Hey, this is [protected] with Channel 1.”
Responding Supervisor: “Hey, what’s up?”
Dispatcher: [six seconds of information regarding an unrelated event] .. and then, I didn’t know, you can call me a snitch if you want to, but we have the cameras up for 320's call. Did they already put him in the — ? They must’ve already started moving him.Um, and -”
Supervisor: “What call?”
Dispatcher: “320 over at Cup Foods.”
Supervisor: “Okay.”
Dispatcher: “Um, I don’t know if they had to use force or not. They got something out of the back of the squad and all of them sat on this man. So, I don’t know if they needed you or not, but they haven’t said anything to me yet.”
Supervisor: “Yeah, they haven’t said anything. It’s just a takedown, which doesn’t count but-”
Dispatcher: “Okay.”
Supervisor: “I’ll find out.”
