In every facet of our business, we will seek honesty, integrity, and transparency.

Financials. Our financials will be open to all of our employees, in doing so we give those who work to grow our business, an open look into the intricacies of building a business. We believe an open book gives all employees added motivation, as they will be able to see the costs and the profits associated with their due diligence.

Product. We will be open about our ingredients and straightforward about where we source our products. Some will be in direct trade relationships, where the plantation and farm can be plotted on a map. Others will not be as evident, due to the traditions and legalities of processing raw product in some sourcing countries. In these situations, we will include the region where the tea was sourced through a co-op of plantation owners.

“Transparency clears the ground for doing good and, in our experience, more often than not creates some momentum for it…”
— Yvon Chouinard, Vincent Stanley; The Responsible Company

Process. Sincerity is a value, and transparency is a journey. We are sincere in our idealism towards becoming a responsible company, and we will make every effort to be transparent in our pursuit of this goal.

To this end, our “Shop Notes” will include posts about some of our processes and the pursuit of a more “sustainable” footprint. This includes a look at our packaging: the pursuit of a compostable packaging solution to meet our design aesthetic while finding better ways to optimize shipping for a better carbon position.
