Hi. My name is Pavel Sovushkin. I am an experience designer for XR projects.

XR stands for Virtual and Augmented Reality in the same meaning.

An experience designer is like a director for the VR / AR industry.

I am the head experience designer of the WOWlab team.

For 5 years we have been doing art VR / AR projects for World Museums.

We have worked with major museums, such as the Tretyakov Gallery, the Gogol Museum in Serpukhov and the Museum of Russian Impressionism.

The projects were made for such artists as Ivan Shishkin, Kazimir Malevich and Natalya Goncharova, David Burliuk, Nikolai Gogol.

XR Projects continue the Threads of the cultures in which our souls live.

About Bilibin XR

Bilibin XR is an interactive folk tale for augmented reality glasses.

We are preparing the Bilibin XR project for Cannes and XR festivals

10,000 ten thousand NFT art objects will be created for the art project.

Our Mission

We will give the first generation of AR glasses users a fabulous experience, revealing the artistic and technical capabilities of the device.

Augmented reality glasses create a new space of awareness. Thousands of generations will live in overlapping layers of reality.

I direct my life’s actions towards the manifestation of good. We strive to serve good ideas growing through the new culture.

We want to reach the limits of artistic and technical performance for augmented reality glasses and push those limits.

We are live in Metaverse big bang.

Our mind is formed within civilizations that convey symbolic meanings of the world.

As a designer of XR project experience, I pay attention to what a person feels. What kind of experience does a person gain when passing through the space of ideas created by the XR projects.

A meaningful creator takes responsibility for the objects of his mind and the activity that he creates.

Good ideas rise in the space of beauty. The fruits of the Good.

Just as the political practice of the Greeks is designed to serve the common happiness, so the idea of XR design is designed to create worlds shining in the good.

In the British School of Art Design we have trained three streams of 200 students in experience design.

Based on the Bilibin XR project, we are creating materials for the Florence Academy of Fine Arts, where we will tell you about creating an artistic experience for XR glasses

In partnership with academies we show how thinking on a project takes place using the examples of our projects.

We strive to stimulate thinking about a culture of thinking. To create a new reality in the well-directed mind.

About the Apple Collection

The first collection of the Bilibin XR project:
Fabulous apples.

1000 fabulous apples will be released.
Owners of golden apples for the NFT art object receive AR glasses.
Apples will appear along routes in parks and cultural spaces of the city.
Any member of the community with a mobile phone will be able to come to the park of their city and walk a beautiful route, collecting fabulous apples.

The final route through the park (30th exhibition) will be in New York.

Based on the apples released for exhibitions, we are training a neural network that will generate a new apple pattern after each meditation in AR glasses.

The owner of AR glasses creates new NFT objects.

The image of the apple in the Fairy Tale:

Apple is the fruit of the world tree.

The world tree sprouts through all realities. Both through the fabulous reality and through the reality of the Player in AR glasses.

As part of the fairy tale for AR glasses Bilibin XR — the world tree branches out into the player’s real room. The player sees in augmented reality the branches of a tree growing along the walls of the physical room.

The image of an apple is given to the player inside the fairy tale as a result of meditation.

According to the plot of the tale — The player needs to be clear. We convey clarity within the framework of artistic experience through the practice of breathing, the result of which is both a mental result (concentration of clarity) and a visually generated apple in augmented reality.

The visualization of the apple depends on the state of the Player in AR glasses;

For the image of apples, we took patterns inspired by illustrations by Ivan Yakovlevich Bilibin.

The shape of an apple reminds of a wood carving.

In the shape of an apple we connected the building pattern with inspiration from architecture.

Cultural codes, which unfold through fabulous images are revealed in architecture.

The fairy window is one of the elements in the storytelling in the Bilibin XR project.

Notice the branches of the columns that frame the shutters in the center. In the apple pattern, we continue the stylistic element as one of the apple patterns in the collection.

The domes of the temples contain the same stylistic technique for using the pattern:

Domes are the image of the heavens inside the temple. Blue domes with stars indicate that the temple is dedicated to the Mother of God. Light blue or blue symbolizes heavenly purity, and the stars are reminiscent of the Star of Bethlehem, which heralded the birth of Christ from the Virgin Mary.

Green domes that crown the churches are dedicated to the Holy Trinity, because green in the Orthodox tradition is the color of the Holy Spirit. In addition, the domes of the temple dedicated to a saint can also be silver.

In the Concept we use the inlay method. In Ivan Yakovlevich Bilibin’s illustrations the attention is paid to how the pike in pearls is stylized:

Bilibin noted a series of printed fairy tales with his illustrations using his special seal. Each book begins and ends with such a seal with birds eating a single fruit.

One upon a time, in one faraway kingdom, in one faraway state…

For the first time in 10 thousand years, on the world tree above the kingdom of the earth, fabulous apples appeared.

Filled with heavenly radiance, the apples shone like stars in the sky.

The king of the earth over whose kingdom the branches of the world tree were spread — took the apples for his own and began to protect them.

But one night, the apples began to disappear.

The king of the earth gives a task to his child (Player) — to guard the apples at night and catch the thief of apples.

About Meditation Mechanics in AR Points:

WOWlab team has already created XR projects for meditation practices. In the Flow meditation platform, Stone Balance, VR Shishkin, Apple XR meditation, we have carried out in-depth research on creating a meditation experience using XR technology and neural interfaces.

According to the plot of the tale, the Player’s task is to be clear. Wait until the sun sets over the fabulous city. Find out who steals apples at night.

Our idea is to give the Player an experience to enjoy what is happening. An experience of contemplating beauty.
To achieve the experience, we combine AR glasses graphics with Meditation.

In the neurointerface Muse — brain waves are removed during meditation.
Depending on the state change, the audio channel changes.

When your mind is swept away, it sounds like rain. The more in harmony you are, the quieter the rain becomes. In achieving a high value of concentration on a deep idea — birds sing on the audio channel.

Through AR glasses, we will add a video picture to the audio channel. The player will be able to see the rain coming down from his mood. The course of the tale takes place depending on the state of the Player.

In the first chapter of the interactive fairy tale — the result of the player’s meditation becomes a fairy apple.

We combine AR glasses graphics with Meditation.
In neurointerface — brain waves are removed.
The audio channel changes depending on the signals from the neural interface.
Through AR glasses, we will add a video picture to the audio channel.
For visualization, we use the image of a fairy apple. The kind of apple at the end of the result depends on how the Player practices deep breathing.

In a fairytale context, we present the practice of breathing as part of meditation. The player breathes with a given rhythm and a calm breathing rhythm — builds up his state.

In Apple meditation, the

rhythm of breathing is shown through the growth of a flower.

If you have an Apple Watch You can try to breathe and note how your state has changed.

On Apple Watch, the mindfulness process works through the Breathing app and is tied to deep breathing. For the past 30–40 years, various studies have been carried out annually on the benefits of deep breathing for humans.

Deep breathing helps: Lower blood pressure. Relieve diabetes, migraine, asthma, depression. Perceptibly improve attention and memory. It is better to retain the memory of only acquired motor skill. Reduce anxiety and stress.

Apple Watch already has the Breathe app installed. The user can choose the number of repetitions per day, how many minutes the session will last, and how many breaths he can take per minute.

Deep breathing works when it continues at the same pace. The watch measures inhalation and exhalation with gentle vibration. There is no need to be distracted by the control of the physical process, but you can focus on the moral.

By personal example, I am inspired by how technology helps in the first steps in the practice of meditation.

Apple’s definition of mindfulness.

Mindfulness is a state of active, open attention to the present. Having immersed yourself in a state of awareness, you will be able to observe your thoughts and feelings from the outside, without dividing them into good and bad. Rather than watching life pass by, mindfulness helps you live in the moment and experience insight.

In partnership with the British School of Art and Design, we have developed the Apple AR Glasses Concept. What the interactions will look like with glasses and what the Apple meditation will look like when applied to Visualization in augmented reality.

We apply the gained experience in meditations in XR to the Bilibin XR project.

As an experience designer, I strive to build projects in such a way as to evoke the experience of manifestation. When a person feels life flowing through him. Meditative experience combined with culture.

About the object of attention.

The basic task for a meditation app is to show the beat of the breath.

Inhalation / exhalation and delay in exhalation and inhalation. There are 4 phases in total.

Each phase has a time parameter.

This is how the breath phase setting is shown in the Breath app.

Graphically, the phases can be shown and the person does not need to count.

Different strokes of breathing affect the state of a person.

The Breath app shows the beats through the movement of the waves (up on inhalation) and down (on the exhale)

Apple shows the mechanics of breathing through the Flower, which become larger and smaller when breathing

Meditation In the Shishkin Project In the Shishkin

Ivan Shishkin painted the Russian forest.

Project, we made an experience in which the player has the opportunity to create his own forest

In a realistic display of nature, in every detail of the picture, the artist laid a metaphor.

The works of Ivan Shishkin have become a comfort for people in the accelerating world of industrialization. Arriving at Shishkin’s paintings, you feel the peace, as if you were announcing home.

We begin the history of the Shishkin VR project with a museum. Paintings by the artist hang on the walls. The environment that is familiar to the player.

To change the focus, we add a sphere with a petal to the VR room. An element of magic, art, slowly penetrating into the world of the familiar.

From the experience designer’s point of view, we set ourselves tasks:

Where is the Player’s attention? How does the Player feel at a particular moment in the scene? By what means is the broadcast experience achieved?

For the experience designer, the project is divided into scenes.

Each scene exists around a task. Scene Shapes a concrete experience.

All scenes work in a common composition. All the scenes together form the overall experience of the project.

In the project dedicated to Shishkin, at the beginning of the project, we develop the dynamics of the narrative, giving more and more creative power to the player.

Through the context of the metaphors that Shishkin put into his works, we begin a dialogue with the Player. We show the beauty of the small. The ability to enjoy and see the depth of world nature even in a leaf.

A petal that emerged from the art world — gives the Player the opportunity to create his own forest.

From the experience designer’s point of view, we use contrasts for the next scene. And through the dynamics of growing creativity, we pass into the world of contemplation.

There is a composition change of experience:

Thousands of petals fly to the branch, forming a forest around the player.

We give the player some rest.

In the new environment, a sphere with color appears in front of the player.

Around the quiet rustle of the forest. The sphere of color expands and contracts in time with calm breathing.

In the next scene, the Player uses color spheres to paint over the forest around him.

Each painted area contains its own metaphors incorporated by Ivan Shishkin into his paintings. By painting nature, the player learns about the cultural significance of the artist’s work.

As a designer of XR project experience, I pay attention to what a person feels. What kind of experience does a person gain when passing through the space of ideas created by the project.

As a consortium of XR Designers WOWlab, we systematically study how experiences are created in XR.

In the Bilibin XR project, we will express all the accumulated experience in creating an artistic project for AR glasses.

About gold in Iconography.

Gold as an image of the heavenly radiance.

Gold as a heavenly radiance is used in the same meaning in icon painting.

The golden halo over the saints on the icons personify the manifestation of the divine radiance in the depicted person.

The golden color in the Orthodox tradition is a symbol of heavenly glory.

For an Orthodox person, gold is primarily a symbol of eternity, incorruption, royalty and heavenly glory.In

In the fairy tales of the peoples of the world, the apple is the most important cultological image.

The image carries a deep philosophical and human meaning.

Apple Has properties that were appreciated by people. The symbol is rooted in the history of nations.

Golden glow of an apple is formed from the direction of attention to the Highest Good. Light becomes manifest in heavenly fruits.

The player moves the plot of the tale — using the fruits of his meditation.
