Hello. My name is Pavel Sovushkin. I am an experience designer for XR projects.
In the publication, I will tell you abut the artistic XR project that I am creating with my team at WOWlab.
Bilibin XR is an interactive folk tale for augmented reality glasses.
The goal of the project is to explore the myth and culture that lives in fairy tales using the interactivity of AR glasses.
Through the use of augmented reality glasses, we will allow the viewer to expand the fairy-tale world around them and go through the path of the hero, making choices and determining the fate of the world.
The player directs the story by his actions: which path to follow, to eat a forbidden apple or not, to take a golden cage or not, whether to listen to the advice of a gray wolf or not.
In order to convey the experience of journey through a fairy tale, augmented reality glasses give an independent experience of the story.
The fairy-tale world unfolds around the player layered on top of his reality. The player grabs a virtual Firebird feather with his real hand.
Bilibin XR is based on the images of the folk story “Fairy Tale about Ivan Tsarevich, the Firebird and the Gray Wolf”.
There are 7 chapters of independent stories for augmented reality glasses.
Each independent chapter of the story has several gameplay plots. On average, the walkthrough of one chapter takes 15 minutes.
Each chapter is an independent story that works as a whole experience in augmented reality glasses.
The walkthrough time of the plot is an hour and a half.
At this stage, our main goal is to partner with companies that produce augmented reality glasses.
We want run Bilibin XR on Spectacles
We will adapt the interactive fairy tale for the glasses of our partners and show the technical and artistic maximum possible on the device.
