Hey there, readers! 👋

I’m just a 14-year-old, so bear with me if I get a bit mixed up while diving into the mysteries of the Conjuring house. Theories can be as perplexing as trying to teach your pet goldfish to do backflips, but if my ideas seem as clear as mud, don’t hesitate to drop a comment and we can unravel the supernatural puzzle together! 😄

The context and information have been collected from Sam & Colby’s exploration. I personally haven’t visited the location. But I wish I could.

Mm-Hm

Back to the theory, let’s catch up on the history of the Conjuring house!

The Conjuring house, originally known as the Old Arnold Estate, has a rich and complex history. The house is located in Harrisville, Rhode Island, and its origins date back to the 18th century when it was built. It’s worth noting that this historic property was not always associated with the supernatural. It went through several generations of ownership, each adding to its intriguing history.

The most famous chapter in the Conjuring house’s history begins in 1971 when the Perron family, comprising Carolyn and Roger Perron and their five daughters, moved into the house. Little did they know that they would become the central figures in a real-life horror story. The Perrons experienced a barrage of paranormal activities, from ghostly apparitions and mysterious noises to physical manifestations. Their eerie experiences laid the foundation for the widely acclaimed movie “The Conjuring.”

“What could be worse than hearing, ‘Hey, keep the lights on at night; it’ll get even spookier here,’ after walking into a new, unknown house deep within the dark, mysterious forests of Rhode Island?”

The Starting

However, on the day the Perron family moved into the house, the previous occupants, the Ex family, were in the process of moving out. The man of the Ex family was busy packing his belongings into cardboard boxes, sitting at the kitchen dining table. The Perron daughters eagerly helped their father by carrying boxes and items inside.

As the youngest daughter, April Perron, walked through the kitchen, she noticed something peculiar. There, behind the uncle from the Ex family, stood another man. April found this sight odd and went to her mother, who was engrossed in unpacking. She told her, “Mom, there’s a strange man standing in the kitchen.” Her mother looked up in surprise and responded, “Dear, there’s no one here.”

The Kitchen

“But Momma,” April persisted, wanting her mother to acknowledge the unusual presence. Her mother, preoccupied with the move, urged her, “Go and help your father.” With that, April reluctantly left, feeling her mother had dismissed her concerns.

Shortly after, Cynthia saw the same eerie figure, the giant and strange man, standing in a corner. She, too, voiced her concern to her mother. In response, her mom scolded her, as if the girls were imagining things.

The five Perron daughters, however, couldn’t ignore the shared experience. They began to question each other, realizing that they had all witnessed the enigmatic figure. The mysterious occurrences in their new home were beginning to take a toll on the family’s sense of reality.

Almost immediately after moving in, the Perron family was struck by the presence of eerie, unexplained sounds that seemed to permeate the house. These sounds were unlike anything they had ever encountered. Whispering voices, strange whispers, and the sensation of footsteps echoing through the corridors left them baffled and uneasy. While the origins of these sounds remained hidden, they became an ever-present source of discomfort.

Beyond the strange sounds, the Conjuring house exuded an unsettling atmosphere. It was as though the very air within its walls was charged with an eerie energy. The Perron family reported feeling a persistent sense of unease, as if an invisible presence was constantly watching. The atmosphere was thick with tension, making it difficult for the family to ever truly relax.

Their dog’s behavior was particularly perplexing. The family observed that their beloved pet refused to enter certain rooms within the house. It was as if the dog sensed something amiss and reacted with caution. This reaction of animals to paranormal activity is not uncommon and added to the mounting evidence of unusual occurrences within the house.

Another unsettling phenomenon was the inexplicable halting of their clocks. The Perron family’s timepieces would stop working without any apparent reason. This time manipulation added to the growing list of unexplained events, leaving the family feeling like they were in a place where the laws of nature were being bent.

One eerie night in the Conjuring house, the atmosphere was particularly heavy with an otherworldly presence. April Perron, the youngest daughter of the family, was attempting to sleep in her room. As she lay in her bed, she suddenly heard a mysterious and unsettling voice. The voice was not one she recognized; it was an unknown, eerie whisper.

“7 dead soldiers are buried here.”

She couldn’t comprehend the meaning or the source of this eerie message, and it left her trembling in her room. SO she ran to her sister’s room and woke her up
“Why are you doing here?”

“I’m hearing voices in my room.”

“what?”

“I don’t wanna sleep there. Can you share bed with me?”

“hop in,”

April slept with her sister that night but that was not finished yet…

Why did Carolyn get affected?

Well, there’s a saying,
“Super-natural things feed on fear.”

that’s what caught Carolyn. Initially, Carolyn was a skeptic when it came to the paranormal. She was the voice of reason in the family, attempting to explain away the strange occurrences that they were experiencing in their new home. She tried to find logical explanations for the unusual sounds and events.

Carolyn’s skepticism gradually gave way to fear and concern. The unrelenting presence in the house began to take a toll on her physically and emotionally. She was frequently fatigued and experienced anxiety as she grappled with the inexplicable. Her health began to deteriorate as she couldn’t find respite from the relentless paranormal activity.

Carolyn had direct encounters with the entities in the house, such as hearing voices and feeling a pervasive sense of being watched. She was startled by apparitions and experienced physical manifestations of the unknown presence, got scratched, bruised or burnt. These encounters left her deeply unsettled and fearful.

The Role Of Warren Family

  • Ed Warren (1926–2006): Ed was a self-taught demonologist and author, renowned for his expertise in paranormal investigations. He, along with his wife Lorraine, founded the New England Society for Psychic Research. Ed was often called in to assist with cases of hauntings, possessions, and other supernatural occurrences.
  • Lorraine Warren (1927–2019): Lorraine was a clairvoyant and medium with a keen psychic ability. She was an integral part of the investigations, often using her psychic insights to communicate with spirits and entities in haunted locations. Her sensitivity to the supernatural added depth to their work.

they played a HUGE role in this investigation. The exorcism scene involving Carolyn Perron in the Conjuring house is a pivotal moment in their haunting experience. While the portrayal of this event is dramatized in the movie “The Conjuring,” it’s important to clarify that the real-life details of this case differ from the cinematic adaptation.

In the movie, Carolyn Perron is depicted as being possessed or influenced by an entity, which leads her to exhibit dangerous behavior. During the exorcism, she throws one of her daughters, Christine, across the room. In a separate incident, her other daughter, Andrea, sees a terrifying apparition by the stairs, which then run upstairs.

It’s worth noting that while the events are depicted dramatically in the film, the real-life events, as documented by the Perron family and investigated by Ed and Lorraine Warren, were indeed terrifying and disturbing.

After numerous investigations, the Warrens discovered that Bathsheba Sherman was the sole cause of this incident.

For those who don’t know who is Bathsheba Sherman, basically she is intertwined with the haunting of the Conjuring house. She was a historical figure who lived in the 19th century, residing on the property long before the Perron family moved in. Legend has it that she was accused of practicing witchcraft and being responsible for the deaths of an infant and a farmworker. These accusations led to her being viewed as a malevolent presence. The Perron family believed that Bathsheba’s restless spirit remained attached to the house, causing the haunting and paranormal phenomena they experienced.

The Warrens, through their investigations, determined that Bathsheba Sherman’s spirit was a significant influence in the haunting and sought to address her presence during their work with the Perron family.

The Woman WIth Surgical Mask Is Suspected To Be Bathsheba (Maybe She’s Not Her?)

Now Question Is…Was Bathsheba The ACTUAL Cause Of The Possession Over The Family?

The most simple answer I can give you is — No.

To make it more clear, without confusing you, let’s get back to the King Philip’s War, also known as Metacom’s War, took place in the 17th century. Specifically, it occurred between 1675 and 1676. This conflict was one of the early colonial wars in North America and was a significant event in the 17th century history of New England. Rhode Island (where conjuring house exists) is considered to be part of this bloody war.

The war had a particularly brutal impact on the colony as it was a battleground for several key battles. The town of Providence, Rhode Island, was burned to the ground during the war. The conflict disrupted the lives of the early settlers in Rhode Island and contributed to the colony’s history of conflicts with Native American tribes. The Conjuring house, located in Harrisville, Rhode Island, is situated in an area with a rich history that includes King Philip’s War. It’s possible that the lingering effects of this conflict contributed to the eerie and haunted reputation of the house.

After the war, many soldiers were buried in the vicinity of the house. The previous owner, Cory, used scanning equipment to survey the boundaries, particularly the areas with small walls. To our astonishment, the machine detected seven figures, resembling humans, in an advanced state of decomposition buried in the ground. Cory marked each of these points with red flags.

However, there are still numerous graves of soldiers in a nearby Harrisville Cemetery, where some of the stones have eroded, making it difficult to discern names. Nevertheless, a few of the names are still legible. I even came across one gravestone with the name ‘James’ clearly inscribed.

Interestingly, Bathsheba Sherman, the figure often referred to as a ‘witch,’ is also said to be buried in the Harrisville Cemetery. In truth, she was not originally buried there; her grave was located elsewhere. However, due to the unfortunate effects of time and perhaps public sentiment, her original grave was destroyed, and her gravestone was relocated to the Harrisville Cemetery.

Bathsheba’s Grave

After that war, and Bathsheba, Perron family came. So in conclusion,

Bathsheba had nothing to do with it. She was not a witch. Witches don’t have identifiable graves. She was a regular human being, just like us. I know the historical claims that she was involved in the tragic deaths of her own baby and a neighbor’s infant, but this doesn’t necessarily imply she was a witch.

You might be saying, then why the hell a normal woman is murdering infants?

There were bloody wars occurring on the island, and residual hauntings could have become trapped there. Furthermore, before Bathsheba, it’s possible that someone practiced witchcraft, which may have intensified the presence, initially possessing Bathsheba and growing more powerful by feeding on people’s fears. In the case of the Perron family, as I mentioned, Carolyn was a skeptic and didn’t believe. Consequently, the malevolent entity fed on her, and that entity is keeping all those residual energies confined within the house. This clarifies that Bathsheba was not a witch.

CHARACTERS SPOTTED IN THE HOUSE

This is the main topic to read out, cuz the characters lead out the whole theory and plot.

  1. King Phillip
  2. His commanders and soldiers
  3. A Night — Gown Woman
  4. The Crooked Neck Woman
  5. The The Two Kids (spotted by Amanda, also in thermal camera)
  6. Three Soldiers
  7. “Captain”
  8. The Devil=?
  9. Bathsheba
  10. The Shadow Man

sounds confusing, right? let me tell you who are they.

1. The Soldiers And Commanders

You already know about King Phillip, and then Bathsheba. what about Phillip’s Commanders? probably they fought with him and died on spot. If you’ve watched Sam and Colby’s investigation, you’ll see them talking to soldier spirits, clearly saying some of them (more than 100~ acc to the books) stuck in the basement, outside the house, near the red flags, SAm talked to the spirits of soldier buried there. and they told they WERE 7.

2. A Night Gown Woman (Probably The Crooked Neck Woman)

While at the Conjuring house with Sam and Colby, Amanda Raye, a medium with the ability to see ghosts and spirits, spotted a woman in a white gown. She reported this sighting to Cory, who later confirmed the presence of a woman wearing a long, frilled, white nightgown. When asked about the woman’s expression, Amanda responded:

“She simply appeared, made eye contact with me, acknowledged that I could see her, and then departed.”

The reason I added ‘Crooked neck woman’ here is that, in the basement when Sam and Colby were reviewing the house, they came across a scene where a child had created a drawing of a woman in a white gown with a crooked neck, as if she were hung with a rope. *I will clarify why I put them both together :)

the actual drawing by kids (left) The image Sam and COlby used as reference (right) both resembles a lot!

3. The Two Kids

While investigating with Amanda, they caught two children peeking behind the doors. Cory asked her againwhat she saw. She replied

“I saw a BOY and a Girl. I don’t know if she was a girl. The girl was shy. she peeked and saw me and ran upstairs, but the boy kept-like teasing me as if telling me to catch him.”

“Um, yes. there are two kids spotted around here.” Cory declared

everyone freaked out. That was not enough for us to believe until:

moreover, same sized figures were caught in SLS camera by other Investigators.

3. The Three Soldiers

Again, sitting in the Kitchen, Amanda saw three men through the window roaming around outside the house. And after that, all of the crew could listen to whistles from the lounge and like Three men talking. That’s really suspicious. Maybe they were special men of King Phillip?

4. “Captain!”

This fucking says that the property beholds the spirits and residual hauntings of the soldiers.

This word was caught by Sam and Colby on a spirit Box. Probably, there was a captain there or…someone from the graveyard (maybe the captain) followed them back home?

James (maybe the captain, they talked to)

5. The Shadow Man

it’s not Corey’s shadow man, its the shadow man captured by Cory (the owner) and his wife in the middle of the night at the door. When Sam and Colby were investigating and sam was outside, near the graves talking to dead soldiers, there was a man standing in the window. or maybe it was the kid again, but wait. How can a little kid reach out to the window to peek clearly like that:

the little thing in the down corner of window-is something like head. But dude that’s very tall!

My Conclusion?

I think that there’s something growing stronger, feeding on fear of people getting energy from the witchcrafts that happened before. that became nightmare for EVERY owner-not specifically the Perrons.

As I said to mention about the crooked neck woman, I think that the crooked neck woman and the night gown woman are same. and those ‘Two Kids’ are hers. the proof is in Sam and Colby’s investigation.

Do you remember when they were asking questions in the girl’s bedroom, they put a flashlight on the bed and asked yes or no questions. It was playing around-or maybe it actually wasn’t a kid just like Sallie. (If you know, You know). but they actually talked to a kid in the basement who warned them that there’s something evil you guys should be aware of. Surprisingly the kid says

“They are coming! I’m leaving Bye!” and then the spirit box catches signal “Mommy!” why the heck it would say mommy? cuz the crooked woman was her mother! I can swear to God

I wasn’t believing in my theory as well, I asked God.

“O God! whatever the truth is, reveal it to me.”

That night I had a dream of a place just like a huge barn type something. there’s brass scattered on ground, and there are hundreds of men hanging with its roof all wearing same uniform (like under any force or Army). And, there was a woman-note this point-there was a woman and One BOY One GIRL hanging with the roof.

Now try to collect what I said earlier. Both are same thing. Amanda saw a girl and a boy. The boy calls someone “Mommy!” that makes sense.

let’s be real, I wasn’t believing the dream as well. I was shocked fr cuz Cory told that it has rumor that over hundred men were hung in this house but don’t know where. The place was the backside barn of the house. WHen I was seeing Sam and Colby’s video randomly, they were in the barn which I saw in the dream. I tried to recall as if I have seen this somewhere. My eyes welled up with tears knowing that The place I never knew of came in my dream and showed me what actually happened there…

If I missed something, comment down :)
