The current explosion of AI progress can really lead to the promised sub-20-hour work week for normal people. It was predicted in 1930, and was supposed to happen by 2000. I don’t doubt that it’ll happen, much like how monarchy as a system was replaced/redefined. I just hope it happens sooner.
