Pride month is a time to get to know who we are, celebrate who we love, and make room for ourselves in this magical world. Some of us recognize the month by speaking our truth, while others spend the month getting to know ourselves more deeply. However you choose to celebrate, you should feel empowered to be yourself, because you matter and you’re here for a reason — seriously.

We’re all made of different facets, dimensions, and feelings, and regardless of who we choose to love, we are valid in our choice because we choose to love at all. So, in honor of Pride month, I wanted to acknowledge the very colors that make us who we are.

We each have what are known as “chakras,” which are seven major energy centers that exist in our spiritual bodies. Your chakras are each represented by a different color in the rainbow, and they work together to transport energy from the universe into your physical body and layers of your aura.

As energetic beings, it’s important to nurture our chakras because they’re directly connected to our relationship with ourselves, the world, and the Divine. They’re also tied to our physical body, and energy blocks can manifest as ailments and illnesses.

To help you get in touch with yourself on a spiritual level, I teamed up with Amanda Baker, founder of the wellness brand Rum & Quartz, to help you heal and align your chakras so you can be the healthiest version of yourself. Each day this week, we will be dropping a new article about how to tend to one of your chakras.

There are three physical chakras, three spiritual chakras, and one that connects the physical and spiritual aspect of ourselves:

A balanced chakra system has the power to heal. When one chakra is blocked, that can cause another chakra to work overtime and block your entire chakra system, causing emotional stress or disease. But when you tend to each chakra with love and care, you’ll find that you’re aligned with the inner, outer, and spiritual world.

Whether you’re queer or an ally of the LGBTQ+ community, we want you to have pride in yourself this month (and always), so we created a guide that is:

1. Fully accessible

Almost everything we suggest in the next seven articles will be easily accessible in your home. This is a personal empowerment series, so much of the energy you will draw on will come from you! We may recommend a product or two, but they are not necessary to purchase to reach your goal.

2. Non-denominational

No matter what your religion or creed, this series will be applicable to you. You will not be asked to pray or believe in any particular thing outside of a higher power. That can be God, Allah, the universe, Buddha — whatever works for you. We just want you to look up!

3. Mind, body, and spirit balancing

The exercises in this series will aim to strike a harmony between your mind, body, and spirit. We want all of you to show up this week: your magical mind, your beautiful body, your wonderful spirit, every color, dimension, and feeling. That’s who we’re talking to and that’s who we aim to heal.

We hope the next seven days will take you on a journey of self-discovery, self-love, and personal empowerment. You deserve to express yourself, show up for yourself, and speak up for yourself, and we’re going to teach you how to do that and more. You also deserve to love who you love without judgment, and as RuPaul would say:

And she’s right — so we got you. Cheers to Pride!
