Sure, the hardest part is still yet to come. The editing. Which has always been my biggest nightmare. I just hate it. Should you even edit your own books? I don’t know. I do it. Because I want it to be my own authentic voice. I don’t want anyone to change anything.
What I learned writing an entire book in just 30 days
Yann Girard

A good copy-editor/proofreader will not (or at least should not) change your voice. Their job is to make your book the best it can be; they are there to help you with formatting, style, accuracy of text, etc. Some suggestions you might hate. Other might be beneficial and you will even learn from them. I would say that having an experienced professional help you with such a lengthy text as a book is highly recommended — at the very least, let someone you trust take a look at it. ;)
