screw your outline
What I learned writing an entire book in just 30 days
Yann Girard

Completely agree. In one of my creative writing classes the teacher made us do an exercise around outlines: he told us to prepare an outline and abide by it. Some of us did, others went the other way around. In the end he said: ‘The outline is there to guide you. If you know your story, it will help you get to your destination quicker. If you don’t know your story as well as you think, the outline can actually get you to a new, unexpected and better result.’

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
