The Worlds We Want, About the Hosts
This show is a volunteer effort managed by a group of students at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Here is just a little backgrounder on the three main hosts of the Worlds we Want.
Cheryl Gladu is an Interdisciplinary PhD Candidate at Concordia University (Management and Design). Cheryl has many years of experience related to the promotion of sustainability, as an activist, entrepreneur, educator, and academic. She’s involved in a variety of collaborative projects ranging from community development to bee-keeping.
Tristan Masson is an undergraduate student of Political Science and Sustainability Studies at Concordia. He enjoys working with various groups in his community and currently serves as chair on the Board of Directors at Sustainable Concordia. He also does research on questions of public policy and sustainability. His most recent publication is a chapter on Canadian political advertising in the Routledge Handbook on Political Advertising.
Joel Odjick proudly hails from Quebec’s Kitigan Zibi Algonquin community. Joel studies Biology and Ecology at Concordia in order to pursue a career in conservation. He has represented his community as an elected band councilor, worked in forestry and sylviculture, and is an avid outdoorsman. He co-wrote a short story in the 2015 “Moonshot: The Indigenous Comics Collection” published by Toronto’s AH Comics.
