Maze

Under the Sea by Julia Di Sano

I was a droplet caught amidst a meteor shower and swallowed by a moat at the gate of a maze. I entered it in an attempt escape my mind and seek my self.

With every wrong turn I said no to dead ends and painted murals on them instead. Soon the walls became water and I rode on their waves. I called for the shore but it never answered. I searched for sanctuary but I failed to find it.

Night fell. I swam on my back and spoke to the stars. Morning came. The sun kissed my face and whispered a secret. The key to the lock is the cage itself.
