Whoever came up with the idea of only celebrating once you’ve accomplished your dream or goal really short-changed our thinking in society.

Sure, there are times when it’s not best to celebrate too soon or count your chickens before they hatch; however, you must use discernment for how to create mini-to-many celebration moments along the way.

It’s time to POP the CORK NOW and find uncommon ways to celebrate yourself, others and the process of the journey.

Enjoying life to the fullest should be one of the highest priorities of fulfillment. Since tomorrow isn’t promised, it’s best to make the most of every moment and maximize our days. The importance of being in a “state” of constant celebration allows us to express our appreciation for life consistently.

Both small and big achievements are honored when we choose to make celebration a regular part of our experiences. This is choosing in a more conscious way to fully participate in life as if it’s the MAIN EVENT of importance. So often we have an agenda of major and main events that we forget that life itself is the MAJOR MAIN EVENT and this is why we should be intentional about viewing LIFE as a constant special occasion or as a series of the MAIN center of importance.

Again, this is why it’s vital to POP the CORK NOW and celebrate as often as possible. The road to success consists of several milestones of accomplishment that equally deserve a fair share of acknowledgments. Of course, you can still make the final destination stop or reaching a certain goal the bigger celebration moment. However, you’ll discover that every acknowledgment or celebration initiative enhances the overall agenda of the MAIN EVENT or MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENT.

Just think about a wedding experience and all of the events that leads up to that special day. Along the way the bride and groom normally have an engagement party, bridal shower or bachelor's party. They both have separate attire fittings for the gown or tux. Several other planning events and rehearsals of many forms occur. Each of these experiences calls for a celebration and normally those involved are enjoying themselves leading up to the wedding. People aren’t just waiting to POP the cork on the big day, instead they are allowing each event to have its own special celebration experience.

So, what if we adopted this same premise as a new normal as we travel to our desired destination?

Examples…

If you applied for a new job, celebrate in a small yet uncommon way of being proud that you filled out the application and turned it in. If you get called for an interview and you attend, whether you get the job or not that day still celebrate in some small way. Of course, if you get the job or another opportunity be sure to celebrate in a significant way. When you get your first paycheck, pay yourself and do it while being in a state of gratitude as you continue to put the funds towards the areas of highest priority for your livelihood.

If you decide to start dating and you’re in the process of making space in your life for this endeavor, celebrate your season of preparation and taking steps to align, attract and allow a special person to enter into your life. Once you start dating, celebrate in some way for exploring a new possibility. Whether you end up in a serious relationship with the specific person or not, still honor the process with celebration and continue to move forward with the intention of something greater.

There are so many examples that I could use but I believe that you get the point of becoming an Intentional Celebrator. I love doing talks on this topic and helping others to “prime the pump” for creating a life that consistently allows them to UNCORK and POP OPEN their lives in new ways through a practice of conscious celebration.

So, let’s explore your new Intentional Conscious Celebration Agenda…

What’s ready to be UNCORKED?

What current desires/requires a celebration before the main accomplishment?

What does POPPING the Cork look like for you at this phase?

What uncommon ways can you create celebration moments along the journey to your desired destination?

What are the mini, minor, major, mega-major events leading up to your MAIN EVENT?

Take time out to do an inner inquiry to discover how you can make LIFE itself the MAIN EVENT as you create a series of celebration moments leading up to your MAIN ENDEAVORS.

As mentioned previously, I enjoy doing talks, teaching and trainings on this topic in addition to publishing related works to help others live an UNCORKED LIFE and leverage the power of Intentional Celebration in a more conscious way.

I love encouraging others to do 30 to 90-Day challenges so I’m inviting you to be intentional about creating a new practice of celebration or taking your current practice to the next levels. You would be amazed at how this level of intentionality creates an entire new world of infinite possibilities.

If you found this article empowering, I would love to hear how you’re planning to create more celebration in your life and/or if you’ve started this practice, how it has served you.
