Where Does Your Yellow Brick Road Lead?
The classic movie that we’ve all come to know as the wonderful “Wizard of Oz” invites us on an adventure to discover that “There’s no place like home” and everything that we need is already in our world if we would just see our experiences through new lenses.
Often it takes most to go on a journey outside of the normal everyday life of the familiar to see more clearly what’s right in front of us. We venture out on our yellow brick road in order to discover a new quest of desires but where does this road actually really lead us to?
I believe that the journey leads us back to ourselves in order for us to rediscover who we are anew. You Are the Yellow Brick Road. The journey outward will often lead you back to the journey inward.
So, as you set out on a new adventure, ask yourself…
Where does my yellow brick road lead?
What am I hoping to discover outside of where I currently am?
What might I learn about myself as I explore the unknown?
What can I discover that’s unfamiliar within my familiar experience?
Who have I NOW become because of this journey?
Asking these empowering questions is critical to gaining expanded awareness and the next levels of comprehension for your evolutionary journey.
Now let me be clear, this is not in any way meant to deter anyone from going on the external adventure to explore the unknowns, this is designed much like the movie the Wizard of Oz to make us more conscious of why we take the journey and what the true essence of those experiences are designed for.
We learn that what we chase or pursue as something external to provide us with a greater sense of joy, happiness or accomplishment won’t be truly found by thinking something outside of us guarantees our desires being met. We must discover how to acknowledge how it’s already present in our current reality and then allow the adventure that we go on to expand into the evolution of our desires.
So, again…
Where does your yellow brick road lead?
Where are you on your way to that you believe will be the evolution of your desire?
What new aspects of yourself are you ready to discover?
What is calling for exploration at this life phase?
Now that you are aware, what feels like your next best step?
Again, asking empowering journal prompt style types of questions allow you to explore the inner yellow brick road so that your external adventure can be a more conscious one that will lead you to your ultimate desires.
As you venture out, you will find that your desires will continue to evolve and expand. You’ll be grateful in many ways that things didn’t unfold in the ways or timing that you once desired. Achieving your goals and dreams or reaching your destination with a more conscious awareness of who you truly are as the best version of your evolutionary self that will consistently allow you to maximize the experience at the highest level.
