While we wait for those multi modal features to roll-out, I will show you the easiest way to use GPT-4o for your own data, an assistant!
OpenAI has just also recently updated their Assistants, greatly increasing their capacity to ingest data. With the efficiency of GPT-4o making it cheaper along with Assistants being able to now ingest up to 10,000 files there’s never been a better time to create you’re very own Assistant.
In this article, I’ll show you what I found to be the easiest way to create an assistant using GPT-4o.

Step 1: Prepping our Data
Before we start, it’s important to note that if you want to use an assistant for your own website or application, you will need an OpenAI API key.
First login to the OpenAI platform and go to the dashboard. Then click the “Storage” as shown below.
