Apple Goes Part Time on Touch

Dear everyone that thinks the Surface Studio is a threat to Apple.

Apple designed the thing in 2010.

Clearly, they didn’t see it as a useful tool for the mass market, so the didn’t build it.

And that’s what it really boils down to…

Mass marketability.

Surface Studio looks like a great tool for any professional that uses a drafting table and would like to replace it with a digital version. But those professions are limited in nature, and when its starting price is $700 more than a top tier 5k iMac… well, let’s just say it is too expensive to make a dent on the mass market.

Please stop comparing Apple to the Surface Studio, it’s a silly comparison.

Especially since Apple did it first. (Technically.)
