The root problem is that we live a society where people want to kill other people. We live in a society where people think it’s okay to hate for no good reason. We live in a society where people are driven to extreme measures because of poverty or drug addiction or any number of other afflictions. That’s the actual source.
Them getting their hands on a gun is a symptom of that societal disease.
By all estimates, statistically, less than 1 in 10,000 guns will end a life (all scenarios included) in America this year. (Actually far less than, like closer to 1 in 20,000, once you account for multiple victims killed by the same gun.)
So with a <0.0001% kill rate, you’re really going to sit there and blame the guns?
