The Impacts of Country Leadership on War

Many people believe that the way a country in our world acts is based on the personal views of the citizens that live in that respective country. When the mass population of a country is in belief that violence, rather than a seeking a peaceful resolution, is a better solution to issues at hand, then the people who are not from that country will tend to believe or wonder if that is the way all of the inhabitants of the country view the processes.

Susan Griffin believes that “even the simplest physical aspects of a nuclear chain reaction carry a psychological significance” (488). In a nuclear war capable world, only those who have a reason, or the curiosity, will create these massively destructive devices. A country which is faced by another with this type of weaponry will create something similar so not to be on the downside of any possible future disagreements. It seems that no country wants to seem weak in comparison to another, so they like to keep this edge on them.

It has also been referenced by Griffin that “whatever we observe we change through our participation” (489). If someone has a car that is running sub-par to them, they are likely to make modifications to it to make it act the way they see fit.
