Oh, I’m so jealous of your retreat, Mike! What a great idea.

Tonight I’m going to pick up some decent wine and a nice dinner with what we already have in the fridge ($17 including tax for the wine). After that, I’m going to stay up a bit later and finish painting the bathroom (our landlord paid for the paint).

Tomorrow, I’m going on a run with a friend and then spending most of the day writing an essay I need to finish by Monday. I’m going to try and eat out of our existing food stock as much as possible this week and next because I’ll be traveling a lot later this month, but I might pick up some more basics ($60).

On Sunday, I’ll be a writing recluse for a few more hours before heading off to my usual meditation meet-up ($2 donation), and buying a nice chocolate bar to split over our weekly ritual of watching War & Peace on Sunday nights ($4–5 max?). I’m so bummed it’s the last installment of the show - I really wish the BBC had produced a longer series. (If anyone has recommendations for other mini-series we can start watching next weekend, please let me know!)

Should be a cheap weekend, here’s hoping: I estimate $90, tops.
