Killing Plants:
Watering Wednesdays-Abundance
My birthday was a few weeks ago and my ever supportive husband bought me some much needed gardening gloves. Which I asked for. After all, after nearly 12 years of marriage I finally learned if I want something, I need to let him know. Simple concept, saves lives.
What I didn’t expect was this…

I guess he’s expecting a LOT of gardening out of me. Like an entire lifetime. Pretty sure this means he can’t get mad if I dig up more sod and put more plants in the ground. That’s the lesson I take from this.
Also — last week we discussed bees and butterflies and I couldn’t help but notice the abundance of bees and butterflies I found in my yard this week.
This was by my freshly weeded butterfly garden and I can say I’ve noticed more butterflies there since weeding it. Maybe they were afraid something lurking in all those weeds was going to eat them. Or maybe, like me, they don’t want to eat in a messy house. I get that.

These flowers have overtaken my mailbox and poured out onto the street. But do you see? A butterfly and bee!
Breathe deeply, my sweet little indicator species!
And another picture from my butterfly garden. I really wish I could expand it. I mean I’ve got plenty of gloves to see the work through…
TIP: If you clean it, they will come…
