Gabrielle Union from Being Mary Jane

In season four, Mary Jane Paul lands a gig as correspondent on Great Day USA realizing a lifetime career goal of becoming a national lead anchor, but things get complicated when her old nemesis, Justin Talbot (Michael Ealy), appears as a new producer. Along with the new job and city, Mary Jane resolves to start fresh in every way possible, including her love life. She quickly falls for Lee Truitt (Chiké Okonkwo), a successful stand-up comedian from the UK who tests Mary Jane’s preconceived notions about what (or who) she needs in her life. Back in Atlanta, the Patterson’s deal with the fallout from Niecy’s (Raven Goodwin) run-in with the police. With Mary Jane in New York, they grow closer as they realize their new roles within the family and do what they can to step up to the plate for one another. THE QUAD follows the ambitious yet secretive life of Dr. Eva Fletcher (Anika Noni Rose), the newly elected President of Georgia A&M (an HBCU), her administration, and the entering freshman class. The staple of Georgia A&M is their prestigious marching band led by their charismatic yet ruthless leader, Art Diamond (Ruben Santiago). Art’s power and influence proves a challenge to Eva but she manages to find strong allies in efforts to keep a tight run of her ship. The multi-talented cast also includes TV icon Jasmin Guy (A Different World)and Sean Blakemore (General Hospital) Premieres Tuesday, January 31 at 10:00 PM ET on BET.

Hosted by television personality and business woman Tracey Edmonds, Queen Boss is a new series that looks to find the best and brightest African-American female entrepreneurs and have them compete for the business opportunity of a lifetime. Each week, 3 new female entrepreneurs will step into the “Queen Boss Conference Room” where they’ll pitch their products to a panel of celebrity judges including Vanessa Simmons, Lauren Lake, Kandi Burruss, Carla Hall, Mikki Taylor, Lisa Price, Rakia Reynolds, Angela Benton and Robin Wilson. The entrepreneurs are all remarkable women, but do they have what it takes to impress the judges? We’ll find out. Premieres Saturday, January 14 at 10:00 PM ET on CENTRIC.
