I was born in 1974. Star Wars (as it was known back then, not as Episode IV, or A New Hope) released in 1977. My memory tells me I saw it that year. But it’s possible I saw it on a rerelease a year later. Either way, it changed and informed me on my passion for film. It was an event. It was the single reason why I pursued filmmaking as a young man.
