Totally agree!

If it’s truly awful, like marry me and I’ll ruin your life awful, it’s gotta come up at some point before moving in or an engagement is on the table. If it’s average to good, it’s kind of irrelevant.

Realistically, if you’re dating someone for long enough, you should have a pretty good idea of how much they earn and how they manage their money. If there are no obvious red flags, I don’t think it really needs to be discussed.

Either way, here’s a simple solution: don’t marry, keep your finances separate. Easy peasy.
