Deeper Than a Scar
Lexi Maze

You may be right that your attacker goes on to do great things, I don’t know him and you do. But it takes a person with psychotic tendencies to sneak up on someone, intentionally burn her, and then show no remorse. My bet would be that he hurts others. You and your parents were right to report the assault.

And to the guy below who doesn’t understand why this story is also about race, it’s simple. When the attacker started teasing the author, his victim, that her skin color couldn’t be authentic because of the color of her exposed flesh, he made it about skin color.

Anyway, good luck in your future. I hope your future friends will treat you much better.
