Congratulations on a successful 1st year of operations. It is very important to take stock and determine how to help those still struggling to get involved understand the complexities of the work that is being done.
Related to the achieving successful Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) outcomes against all 17 goals during Agenda 2030, the very complex and daunting issues that must be faced to end extreme poverty and hunger in every country on this globe, will require building data sets to support an incredible range of tasks.
Private citizens, companies and the public sector have to work better together. I have been working to form a ‘sister cities community of practice (CoP)’ aimed at helping build collaborations of human resources found in our cities, and have found this platform extremely helpful as it relates to the importance of data.
However, of a dozen or more individuals that I have recommended their getting involved with this platform, almost all came away discouraged, having not worked with relational databases previously, and finding it very difficult to get started.
