Why are partnerships important? Are you really asking me this? Wait, I’m the one writing it..

Waltonchain has set themselves up to be the global leader in Blockchain + IoT by their innovative technology and software, but also our massive number of partnerships. Some of them are GOME Finance, China Mobile IoT Alliance, Freyrchain, Silictec, and others. I have included a Reddit link where you can see a list of our partnerships.

When WTC announces their partnerships, they usually say that they’ve signed an MOU. What is that you may ask? According to Investopedia, “A memorandum of understanding (MOU) is a formal document describing the broad outlines of an agreement that two or more parties have reached through negotiations. It is not a legally binding document but signals the intention of all parties to move forward with a contract.”

This worries some, but keep in mind that WTC is still at an early stage and they are working on finishing their Mainnet. When Mainnet? Who is tired of hearing that?

Let’s also define what Mainnet is.

What is a Mainnet?
(Coincentral)

Essentially, every blockchain project has a mainnet. So what is it? Simply put, a mainnet is a blockchain that actually carries out the functionality of transferring digital currency from senders to recipients. This is different from a testnet, which basically is just a test of such transaction functionality. The easiest way to think about it is that testnets are the prototypes that demonstrate the potential capabilities of a project. Mainnets are the actual “end product”, which is available for the public to use. However, just like testnets or code frameworks, mainnets can be changed whenever project teams or cryptocurrency open-source communities decide there is a need for updates and/or revisions.

So, let’s get back to what this article is about. The partnerships!

Arvi

ZDNet Korea
