Scenario; A Deli Sandwich

A consumer in Manchester, UK

An American themed Deli in the Northern Quarter of Manchester City Centre

A range of local and national trade food suppliers based in the North West of England and the rest of the United Kingdom.

Introduction

A family owned and operated Deli in Central Manchester that makes it’s own sandwiches on site and sources it’s products mainly locally within the North West of England from Food Wholesalers with some additional products being sourced from specialist wholesalers in the rest of the UK.

A consumer who works locally who is ordering the sandwich for lunch.

From the Consumer Perspective

The consumer orders the Deli’s trademark Three Meats Sandwich with two slices each of turkey , Genoa salami and Parma Ham with sweet, caramelized red onions, avocados, vinegar, pepperoncini peppers, chipotle mayonnaise and melted provolone cheese on soft sourdough bread.

The consumer scans the QR code from the WTX Hub code card which is on the Deli’s counter the consumer then receives the sandwich. Then they access their unique WTX Hub account and view the full provenance details of all of the ingredients of the sandwich which includes the Turkey which came from Norfolk, England and the Parma Ham which came from Italy via a local wholesaler, calorie count, product information, special offers and much more for the sandwich and then the consumer at a time of their choice can put these on their WTX Hub social profile and/or into their WTX Picture storyline. Also they can add images of the sandwich into this storyline if applicable.

From the Fast Food Industry perspective

The Deli staff take the consumers order, they initiate use of the WTX Hub hardware and then scan the WTX Hub code card at the restaurant counter, then they read the code for each individual ingredient of the sandwich. They then close the sequence on the WTX Hub hardware and send the information to the cloud.

This information is then added to the WTX Hub HH provenance software, all trade participants for the food products that are used in the sandwich have access to the HH software. The Targeted Advertising for each trade retail participant in the chain is then engaged from the Advertising stack they have uploaded to the WTX Hub and in conjunction with the relevant special offers this is then filtered through to the consumer.

From the Deli’s perspective they offer Blockchain verified assurances to the consumer of quality, sourcing and freshness of the product’s ingredients and in real time be able to offer highly and unique targeted advertising to the consumer via pre-loaded advertising stacks on the WTX Hub system.
