Scenario; The online e-commerce purchase of a bottle of Spirits

A consumer in Barcelona, Spain

An online e-commerce Alcoholic Beverage retailer based in Valencia, Spain

A French Cognac producer based in the Cognac Region of France

Introduction

A online e-commerce Alcoholic Beverage retail business which has it’s own import and wholesale licenses that facilitate it being able to import directly from France for this brand of Cognac, in doing so it is also the national distributor for this product for Spain.

The consumer is a Cognac drinker looking to buy her favourite Cognac online for a competitive price.

From the Consumer Perspective

The consumer chooses to purchase an XO bottle of her favourite Cognac. She clicks this item on the retailer’s website and then proceeds to the checkout section of the website. The customer then proceeds to online checkout, then pays for the goods.

The consumer has the option to log in using their WTX Hub social media or to give their WTX Hub social media details later on in the process if they wish to use the WTX Hub functionality during the purchase.

Once the customer has purchased the goods they access their unique WTX Hub account and view the provenance details via desktop software or Mobile App of the beverage, calorie count, product information, special offers and much more for the Cognac and then the consumer at a time of their choice can put these on their WTX Hub social profile and/or into their WTX Picture storyline. Also they can add images of the Cognac into this storyline.

From the Industry perspective

Once the purchase shows as complete on the e-commerce website’s system, this information is then added to the WTX Hub HH provenance software, all trade participants for the Cognac have access to the HH software. The Targeted Advertising for each trade participant in the chain is then engaged from the Advertising stack they have uploaded to the WTX Hub and in conjunction with the relevant special offers this is then filtered through to the consumer.

From the Cognac maker’s perspective they can see in real time exactly where their product is sold and in real time be able to offer highly and unique targeted advertising to the consumer via pre-loaded advertising stacks on the WTX Hub system.
